Sunday School is an important part of worship at First Baptist Church of Iva. Attendance provides time for small groups to focus on scripture.and on how to apply to our individual loves that which God has shown through His word. Classes currently being offered include the following: Children's Classes are available in the church day care center for Nursery - 4th grade. Children in the fifth grade meet in the new building under the direction of Mia Pinson and Pam Mitchell. Youth Classes - Three youth classes meet at FBIva, including a class for middle school boys, a class for middle school girlls, and a high school youth class.The group is led by Rev. Paul Pinson and classes are taught by Steve Haynes, Crystal Keown and Connie Gray and by Johnny and Dovana Smith. Adult Women - Four classes are offered for adult women at FBIva, including the Sonshine Class, Willing Workers, TEL, and Women of Faith. Teachers include Emily Jarrard, Sandi Camplbell, Jean Russell, Kelly Martin, Yvonne McGee, Faye Hall, Gloria Estridge, Imogene Terry, Debbie Patterson and Kaye Vaughn. One men's class is available at First Baptist. Taught by Randy Alesander and Rev. Roger Estridge, the class is open to men of any age. Four co-ed classes meet at FBIva, incliding a Younger Co-ed class taught by Scott Dodgens and Barbara Littlejohn, a Young Married Couples Class taught by Rev. Gray, a College and Career Class, taught by Marty and Amy Russell, and Joyful Hearts, taught by Sherry League,Claudine Jordan and Spoon Huggins.
