Rev. Jerry Gray, Senior Pastor
Rev. Jerry Gray is a graduate of Anderson College, Southern Weslyan College, and Southeastern Theological Baptist Seminary. He is a native of Iva, SC and a graduate of Crescent High School. Rev. Gray has served as pastor of First Baptist Church, Iva since August 2004. Rev. Gray and his wife Melba have two children and two grandchildren. Rev. Paul Pinson, Minister of Children, Youth and Education Paul Pinson has served as Minister of Youth and/or Education since 1988. He began his work in his home state of Missouri but found his way to First Baptist Iva in 1992 and worked and worshiped here until 2003 when he made his way to Good Hope Baptist Church and Southeastern Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. Paul earned his Masters of Divinity at South Eastern and began work toward his Doctorate of Education before heading home to Iva. While at First Baptist Iva, Paul has served as Minister of Education, Youth and Children and has led and participated in over 20 mission trips including trips across the United States and to Puerto Rico, Mexico, Canada, South Africa and Mozambique. Rev. Roger Estridge, Associate Pastor Addrian Wilson, Minister of Music A native of Greer, SC, Addrian studied Church Music and Vocal Performanceat Erskine College, Anderson College, and at Erskine Theological Seminary. He has performed with the Greater Anderson Musical Arts Consortium (GAMAC) since 1989 as a member of the Chorale, Chamber Singers, and soloist, and has traveled with various vocal groups throughout the Eastern United States and Europe. Addrian has served as Minister Of Music at First Baptist Church of Iva since 1986. He and his wife Kim reside in Iva. Marlene Wiles, Administrative Assistant Darla Powell, Pianist Darla Powell has been playing the piano since she was eight years old. Her duties at First Baptist include accompanying the Sanctuary Choir at choir rehearsal and during services, playing for special services and for numerous soloists. Darla and her husband reside in Iva. Tim Taylor, Organist Tim Taylor is the organist at First Baptist of Iva. His duties as organist include providing pre-service music, post-service music, and accompanying the choir and congregation during congregational singing. Tim also plays the piano for the Savior's Singing Seniors and for the First Baptist Primary Choir. Tim studied piano and organ under the direction of Marion Wakefield, who served for 50 years as organist before retiring. Nancy and Winnie Powell, Building Superivsors |
