| Darla Powell has been playing the piano since she was
eight years old. She does not take her music lightly, but says she is
grateful for the talent the Lord has given her and feels blessed that He
has allowed her to be His servant.
Darla's duties at First Baptist include accompanying the Sanctuary Choir at choir rehearsal and during services, playing for Faithful Heart and for numerous soloists. She is also responsible for offertory music. In addition to her musical interests at First Baptist Iva, Darla also teaches piano lessons at Oakwood Christian School. Darla and her husband reside in Iva with their three children. |
