North American Missions

The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest...to send out workers into His harvest field. Matthew 9:37-38

The purpose of the North American Mission Board (NAMB) is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, to start New Testament congregations, to minister to persons in the name of Christ, and to assist churches in the United States and Canada in effectively performing these functions. First Baptist Church of Iva supports the NAMB in these endeavors through prayer, education, giving, and through going. Click here to learn more about the North American Missions Board.

April is the season of giving to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions. The 2003 national goal was $53,000,000 and the goal at First Baptist of Iva was $7,000. What do our gifts to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering accomplish?

Missionary Support

71% goes for missionary support, including things such as training, salaries, and health benefits for our missions personnel.

Church Planting

18% goes toward church planting. Our convention's goal is to plant or begin 2003 churches in 2003.

Evangelism

11% goes toward community ministries, sports ministries, literacy classes, and personal evangelism. Through evangelism, untold thousands will see Christ's love in action, will hear the gospel, and will be saved.
