| Sunday School classes meet every Sunday morning
from 10:00-11:00 and are available for children of all ages. We believe
that Sunday School is important for children in that it provides
opportunities for them to gain an understanding of the Bible's truths at
an early age, it teaches lessons from both the Old and New Testament, and
it provides an opportunity to teach them about God and about prayer at an
early age. First Baptist provides age appropriate curriculum available
from Lifeway. |

Missions Education is important at First Baptist
of Iva and is available to children of all ages. Groups meet on Wednesday
nights from 7:00-8:00, at which time children are taught about missionaries and
the work they carry out. An emphasis is also placed on local and community
missions as children go out into the community to help meet the needs of
those around us. Preschool children may attend Mission Friends, elementary school girls may
participate in Girls in Action, and elementary school
boys may be a part of our Royal Ambassadors program. |

| Preschool children are invited to attend
Children's Church every Sunday morning and evening during the regular worship
service times. Once children are dismissed from the adult service, they
are led in a time of
Bible story sharing geared toward their own level of understanding. The
focus is on Bible stories, songs, and activities designed to engage them
in learning more about the love of Jesus. |
